The Ashooh campaign has always been about the issues and solving the hard problems facing our nation. We would never resort to these kinds of dirty tricks and we're very disappointed that one of our opponents is so desperate to have stooped to this level.

New Hampshire needs a Congressman who will work to reduce taxes, limit the size of government and promote free-market solutions. That man is Rich Ashooh. In my opinion, he is the best candidate to take that much-needed conservative message to Washington.
Ashooh Launches New Web Video on Congressional Reform
8/2/2010
The current system in Washington is broken and totally out of touch with voters. Worse yet, it only increases a politician’s ability to become powerful and take advantage of perks. I have a plan for common sense changes that can be put in place with the right leadership.
Ashooh: Limited Government Starts with Congressional Reform
8/1/2010
Its my view that we wont achieve meaningful change unless Congress leads by example. If we are to expect the kind of changes that rein in big government, then what we need is real reform.
I strongly believe elective office should be a job, not a career. Yet, the way Congress does business now only serves to incentivize longevity not productivity for its members. The longer people remain in government, the more removed they become from the daily lives of the people they are sent to serve.

Any effort to place these leaks and their subsequent publication in the context of some policy goal, such as public openness or to affect the direction of our involvement in the global war on terror, is delusional: quite simply, these actions provided previously unknown and substantive information to our enemies and in so doing put American lives at risk.

Besides keeping intact the tax cuts that went into effect in 2001 and 2003, Ashooh said the government needs a "draconian austerity plan" to cut spending, and regardless of whether it's a three-year or five-year plan, "it's important that we get the plan in place and it has teeth."
